Many users of Vega are asking me to add new pairing systems. Unfortunately I'm not a professional developer but just a chess tournament director that built Vega for his own needs. The current pairing systems implemented in Vega are what I needed and I've no interest to implement other systems.

However, I've realised a new version of Vega, not yet public but you can donwload it from this page, that can be easily integrated with the pairing engine that YOU develop and code in your preferite programing language.

Once you made the program you can decide what to do: make it available free of charge or sell it; share its source code or distribute it in binary form. Whatever you desire I'll support your free of charge.

The new version in the installtion folder has the new folder 'plugin' containing useful technical info regarding how to access the data stored by Vega and what should do the external program that performs the pairing. It contains even some source code showing how to read the .veg file containing the player archive (anagraphic info and pairing-results data). The source code must be compiled with the tool Ultimate++.

Download the new version (19-Jan-2008) (just unpack it with the tool Winrar in some folder and run Vega5.exe). For any problems please contact me.

Here is an animated tutorial (made with Wink) that shows the operation of adding the external pairing engine.
